Soccer Programs Have Big Hearts — Haiti Support

I have a great deal of respect for Steve McCrath, Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Barry University and Richie Grant, Head Men’s Soccer Coach at the University of Memphis. They are fantastic coaches — insightful, motivating, and wicked smart.

Furthermore, Coach Grant and Coach McCrath have represented what it means to be a “coach” by taking their guidance “off the field”. Both programs are running charitable relief efforts to support recovery from the tragedy in Haiti. We applaud (and support) their efforts as well as the many other teams that similarly are lending a hand. Below are the charity events the schools invite you to attend along with the website for further information.

*University of Memphis Men’s Soccer: Kicks for a Cause (March 24, 2010, 7pm, Mike Rose Soccer Complex) featuring a game between Memphis Men’s Soccer and Colaiste Ide Prep program from Dublin, Ireland
