In his fifth year with the Crusader program, Brendan Roth will serve as an assistant coach in 2017. Roth has also been director of soccer operations and reserve team head coach during his time as a member of the Valpo coaching staff.

As a member of the Crusaders from 2007-2011, Roth was a near permanent fixture on the field for head coach Mike Avery, appearing in 66 matches and starting 42 times.  In 2011, he helped lead the Crusaders to their first Horizon League championship.  Roth graduated from Valparaiso with a degree in Sports Management.

Roth resides in Valpo with his wife, Laura.
