Ed Heberling joined USCB in February 2011 as the school’s first women’s soccer coach, quickly assembling a team to begin play in August 2011.
A native of Taylorville, Ill., Heberling came to USCB after serving as head men’s and women’s soccer coach at Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton, S.C. Heberling launched the Tri-County Tech women’s program in May 2010 and guided both teams for one season. Before that, Heberling served as head men’s and women’s soccer coach at his alma mater, Iowa Wesleyan College, where he was a second-team all-conference goalkeeper and forward.
Heberling was the head coach of the Iowa Wesleyan women from 2003-10 and director of soccer operations from 2004-10. He served as an assistant for the men’s team from 2003-08 and took over as head coach for the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
