Megan Atoigue joined the Urban Knights in the fall of 2017 with 12 years of coaching experience already under belt including nearly a decade at the collegiate level. She began at Corona Del Mar High School in Newport Beach, Calif. where she served as the junior varsity head coach from 2005-2007. From there, she accepted an assistant varsity coaching position at Clayton Valley High School where she remained from 2007-2010. It was also in 2007 when Atoigue became the head coach for the Diablo Futbol Club in Concord, Calif.     After Clayton Valley, Atoigue received her first collegiate position as the assistant coach at Las Positas College. Atoigue spent the next two seasons with the Hawks before returning to the prep scene for a varsity head coaching position at Ygnacio Valley High School. There, she guided the team to the North Coast Section Playoffs for the first time in school history and remained with the school through 2012. At that point, Megan was offered the head coaching job at UC Merced, her most recent position.   Atoigue joined the Bobcats for the women's soccer program's very first collegiate season. The team quickly became successful under her watch, reaching the conference playoffs on four separate occasions including three-consecutive seasons from 2014-2016. In both 2015 and 2016, UC Merced finished at the top of the conference and was ranked in the top 25 of NAIA Division I for several weeks. At the time of her departure, Megan had compiled an impressive 48-24-9 overall record. All while coaching at UC Merced, Atoigue also maintained head coaching positions for the California Odyssey Earthquakes (2013) and at Merced High School (2014-2016).   During her playing days, Megan was a four-year starter at Vanguard University where, in 2006, she helped her team finish 16th nationally and they were the regional runner-up. After graduating, she played three years of semi-professional soccer for the Walnut Creek Power.   Atoigue earned her B.S. in Athletic Training from Vanguard University in 2007 and her M.A. in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2017.
