Bonnett joined Benedictine for the 2018 season. The North Park University graduate joins Benedictine following two seasons at Hendrix College in Arkansas working with pitchers and catchers. Hendrix set a school record for wins and hosted the conference tournament in 2016 for the first time in program history. Bonnett helped to mentor the Newcomer Pitcher of the Year while the pitching staff sported the third lowest ERA in school history and posted the sixth most strikeouts. Bonnett also spent two years working with the pitching staff at Southwest Minnesota State. The 2015 pitching staff became the first in school history to rack up over 500 strikeouts. Four players went on to play professionally. Bonnett opened his coaching career at the University of Illinois-Springfield and helped the pitching staff set multiple records.  While at North Park, Bonnett was a second team all-conference selection for a team that won the CCIW and played in the NCAA Regional. Bonnett won the Rawlings Gold Glove in 2010. Bonnett resides in Lisle with his wife and daughter.
