Cedric Jones enters his sixth year at Cedar Valley College, heading the program since 2015 he once played for. Im extremely blessed and excited to be here. I feel honored to come home where it all started for me as a player and impact the lives of young men, just as the coaching staff I played for impacted my life. A huge challenge is ahead of us, but Im looking forward to helping these young men excel in life says Jones.  Jones donned the Suns uniform as a player from 1984-1985 and learned a great deal as a student-athlete. Jones enjoyed his time with the Suns as a player and moved on to Southwestern Assemblies of God University to continue his education and playing career. After SAGU, Coach Jones moved on to North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota to finish out his playing career. After a stellar collegiate playing career, Jones coaching journey started at Christian Life Schools as a high school varsity assistant and head junior varsity basketball coach. From there, he moved on to take his first head coaching position at his alma mater, NCAA Division III, North Central University. After nine seasons at NCU winning numerous conference championships and two National Christian College Athletic Association Regional titles and two National Christian College Athletic Association Coach of the Year Awards, he moved back to the high school level in Illinois where he remained until he received the call to come back to Cedar Valley College. Jones received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from North Central University as well a Master of Education in Sports Management from Northcentral University (AZ).
