Ricardo Oliveira joined the Georgia State womens soccer program as a volunteer sports performance and assistant coach prior to the 2017 season. Oliveira monitors player performance through Playertek GPS and reports his findings to the coaching staff.    Oliveira comes to Georgia State following a stint at his alma mater as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator from March 2015-July 2016. During his time with the Bulldogs, he recruited and coached All-Conference Carolinas and All-Region players.   Oliveira was a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Kentucky in early 2015, working with mens soccer, baseball, mens and womens swimming, cross country, and track and field. He was also a staff coach for the Olympic Development Program in North Carolina from 2016-2016.   The native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, played collegiate soccer at Barton College in Wilson, N.C., playing at midfield for the team. He appeared in 55 games over three seasons for the Bulldogs after transferring from Lenoir-Rhyne University following his freshman year.   Oliveira was named All-Conference Carolinas Second Team in 2013 and earned Conference Carolinas All-Tournament accolades in 2012 after leading the Bulldogs to the championship game. In-between those two seasons, he played for the Panama City Beach Pirates of the Premier Development League (PDL) in the summer of 2013- 2014. He also played for the Atlanta Silverbacks in the summer of 2017.   Since August 2016, Oliveira has coached for the Inter Atlanta FC Blue youth soccer league.   He graduated from Barton with a degree in physical education in December 2014. Oliveira is currently seeking a masters degree in exercise science at Georgia State, with an expected graduation of May 2018.
