Erik Casterline joined the HPU men's soccer program as a volunteer assistant coach in August 2018. Casterline was a two-year team captain at Frostburg State in Maryland in his playing days after starting his career at UNC Asheville.    Following his college career, Casterline played for the Electric City Shock of the National Premiere Soccer League in Scranton, Pa. He was named a captain for the team and helped lead the side to a franchise record in points in wins. He was also one of 16 players in the NPSLs Northeast Region to be selected for the 2017 professional combine.
