Ridi Dauti is in his third year as head coach of the men's soccer team. He was previously an assistant coach during the 2016 season. In his first season as a head coach Ridi Dauti guided the men's soccer program to the CUNY conference final and ECAC post-season play for the first time in program history. Ridi Dauti was voted Coach of the Year for his achievement leading the bloodhounds in the best season in program history.
Outside of John Jay, Dauti also coaches for the New York Cosmos Academy. He is the head coach of the U13 team that competes in the United Soccer Federation Development Academy league, the highest level of youth soccer in the country. He is also the head coach of New York Athletic Club, a high level amateur team comprised of mostly Division I, II, and NAIA players and former professional players. The team competes in the NPSL league, a semi-professional league (4th tier of US soccer), and has coached against many full professional teams including the prestigious NY Cosmos 1st team.
Previously, Dauti has been the head coach of the World Class FC U14 academy team, Assistant Coaching Director for Asphalt Green Soccer Club, and Soccer Program Coordinator at Downtown United Soccer Club.
He graduated magma cum laude from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor of Science in Coaching. During this time, he studied abroad in Germany at the German Sports University of Cologne and was heavily involved with the academy of current Bundesliga club FC Koln.
Dauti holds a US Soccer B Coaching License and an NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma.
