Pablo Ripodas is originally from Pamplona, Navarre, Spain. He started his soccer career at the age of 6 playing for San Juan; one of the top teams in Navarre. He moved to Mutilvera at the age of 15. Following the steps of his older brother, he decided to move to the United States to be able to keep playing at a high level while getting a great education.
In August 2014, Pablo got recruited by Head Coach Will Dyer to play at Lawrence Tech. He played as a starter on the offensive midfielder position in the Varsity team and lead the team as a captain his last two years.
While playing at Lawrence Tech, he graduated with a Major in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Manufacturing, as well as a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Skills. He has been highly involved in the LTU community taking several leadership roles in the various organizations such as Student Government, Spanish Speaking Association, American Red Cross, Student Philanthropy Council, and Mechanical Engineering Honor Society. He also led the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as the President his senior year.
Due to his involvement and hard work on and off the field, he has received several awards including WHAC All-Academic Roll and Champions of Character Player Honor; as well as Student Leader of the Year and Distinguished Graduate of the Year.
He is excited to join the staff and is grateful to continue being part of the Mens Soccer Team. He thinks he will be able to bridge the gap between players and coaches; as well as add some new input and ideas to the team.
