In his four seasons as the head coach of the Spartans, Brueggeman has helped guide Manchester to an overall record of 36-35-5.  The Spartans quailified for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament in each of the past three years (2017-2019).  2017 saw Manchester earn its first HCAC postseason tournament bid since 2010, and was the first double-digit win campaign since 2007.  The Spartans also defeated perennial HCAC power Transylvania for the first time in program history. As head coach, Brueggeman has mentored 12 All-HCAC honorees.  In 2017, Josh Gonzalez was named the HCAC Freshman of the Year and was a First Team All-HCAC selection.  A year later, Gonzalez was named the HCAC Offensive MVP and became the first Spartan in 11 years to earn United Soccer Coaches All-Great Lakes Region honors.  In 2018, three Spartans earned spots on the All-HCAC First Team.  In 2019, Manchester defeated HCAC power Hanover College for the first time in five years. The Spartans also had a trio of players earn All-HCAC recognition. Brueggeman served as the top assistant to former Manchester head coach Dave Good for three years. Prior to becoming an assistant coach, he worked with the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer in their marketing and promotions department after graduating with a degree in sport management from Manchester University in 2012.  A two-time All-HCAC honoree and three-year captain on the pitch for the Spartans, Brueggeman is among the top five in scoring at MU. Coach Brueggeman also has additional coaching experience as the U15 to U19 Technical Director at the Fort Wayne Sport Club. Corey is working on his Premier Diploma from the United Soccer Coaches and a National D License from the United Soccer Federation.
