Collins begins his first season at Michigan State in 2018. He comes to East Lansing after spending the 2017 season as a women's soccer assistant coach at Belmont.  The Glen Rock, Pennsylvania native brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program, having both played and coached collegiate soccer. He recently completed his Masters of Art in Education and Coaching at Greenville University where he was also the graduate assistant coach for the men's soccer program. Prior to Greenville, Collins was a goalkeeper at Villanova (2009-10) and Penn State (2010-13) as well as playing on various club teams throughout his soccer career.
