Matt Davis was named the head mens and womens soccer coach at Mount Aloysius in January 2014. After five seasons on the sidelines Davis has accumulated the most wins in school history for both the men's and women's programs, as he has accumulated a 61-33-6 record on the men's side and a 52-37-5 record on the women's side. In his five seasons, 29 men's players and 23 women's players have earned All-Conference honors while 9 total players have earned Great Lakes All-Region accolades. On the academic side, the women's program has earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for four consecutive years for outstanding performance in the classroom, while the men's program has earned the award in back-to-back academic years. The 2018 season was a historical one for the women's program as the team won a program record 14 games and advanced to the AMCC Championship Game for the first time ever. The women reached the United Soccer Coaches Great Lakes Regional rankings and remained there for six consecutive weeks as the team started the season with a 15-game unbeaten streak. The men's program went 15-4-1 overall including a record 13-game winning streak, and a record 9 men's players were named to the AMCC All-Conference Team at the conclusion of the season Davis' second season at the helm of the men's program in 2015 was a banner year. The Mounties won their first ever AMCC regular season and postseason championships as Mount Aloysius won 12 games on their way to the first NCAA Tournament appearance in school history. Davis was named the AMCC Coach of the Year and seven players earned All-Conference accolades, including the first ever AMCC Defensive Player of the Year and first ever AMCC Newcomer of the Year for the men's soccer team. The Mounties also received votes in the United Soccer Coaches Great Lakes regional poll for the first time in program history. A graduate of Albright College in Reading, Pa, Davis was a four-year starter and two-year captain on defense and in the midfield for the Lions. In 2010, Davis helped lead Albright to their first nine-win season in over a decade and was named a CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine College Division All-District Second Team selection. Davis was a three-time honoree on the Middle Atlantic Conference Honor Roll for student-athletes. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Albright with a bachelors degree in Business Administration and Communications. A native of Glenside, Pa, Davis attended Bishop McDevitt High School, where he was a four-year starter, three-time All-Catholic League player, and two-year captain for the Lancers. During his senior season, he led the program to the most victories in school history as well as a spot in the Philadelphia Catholic League playoffs. Davis completed his master's degree from Mount Aloysius in Business Administration (MBA) in May of 2014 with a focus on Project Management. Davis is a member of the United Soccer Coaches organization. He has earned his National Diploma as well as Level I and II Goalkeeping Diplomas. Additionally, he has served on the Division III Men's Soccer Regional Advisory Committee for the Great Lakes Region.
