Adam Lewis is in his first season as an assistant coach with the women's soccer program. Lewis joined the Mount staff after spending last year as the goalkeeping coach with the men's soccer program at Loyola. There he helped develop and mentor goalie Chase Vosvick, who was ranked by TopDrawerSoccer as one the top-10 goalkeepers in the nation. Lewis is currently the Girls Director of Goalkeeping at Maryland United for there ECNL and Premier GK's. Prior to his time at Loyola, Lewis was an assistant coach with the women's soccer program at Stevenson University, where he was responsible for the goalkeepers, defensive unit and recruiting. Lewis worked closely with Tiffany McKee, who was named to the MAC Commonwealth Second Team and earned a pair of conference Defensive Player of the Week honors. Lewis started his collegiate coaching career at Goucher College in 2016 as the women's assistant coach/goalkeeping coach, before heading over to Stevenson University. Since 2015, Lewis has coached for the Inferno Rush of the United Women's Soccer League (UWS), working with the goalkeepers and defensive line. This past season, he helped guide the Rush to an Eastern Conference title and appearance in the National Championship Game, and helped develop East Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year, goalie Kelly O'Brien. During his time with the Inferno, Lewis has coached Emily Armstrong, who currently plays professionally for IBV in the top tier of Iceland, and Emily Dolan, who plays for KKPK Medyk Konin in the top tier in Poland and was tabbed one of the top-15 female goalkeepers in the world under the age of 24. Lewis has also worked as the goalkeeping coach for SoccerPlus since 2016 under Tony Diccico, who coached the US Women's National Team to a World Cup Title in 1999 and a Gold Medal at the 1996 Olympics. Before coming stateside, Lewis was the assistant coach/goalkeeping coach for Crewe Alexandra Ladies of the FA Women's Premier League Division One. Originally from Birmingham, England, Lewis played professionally for Birmingham City of the prestigious Barclay's Premier League, and played one season in Sweden before spending eight years playing semi-professionally. Lewis earned a sports coaching and development degree from Manchester Metropolitan University in England in 2012. He also holds a UEFA B Coaching License and the FA Level 2 Goalkeeping License from England, in addition to an Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma, the National Diploma and the USSF E License from the United States.
