DeCew enters his fourteenth season at the helm of the mens soccer program.   Over the last four seasons the Pilgrims have finished 12-5-3 (7-1-1 NAC), 10-7-2 (6-2-1 NAC), 11-6-1 (7-1-1 NAC), and 11-8-1 (5-4 NAC). DeCew earned North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Coach of the Year accolades in two of those four seasons.  In his career at New England College, DeCew has compiled a 123-96-25 record, has helped the Pilgrims to eleven playoff appearances, and has coached 36 all-conference athletes.  

The 2015 squad finished the year with a hard-fought overtime loss to eventual conference champion Thomas College in the tournament semifinals.  The Pilgrims have been honored with three NSCAA All-Region players in the past two seasons: Rizy Misiri (Concord, NH/Concord), Michael Skarbelis (North Andover, MA/North Andover) and Brandon Currier (Merrimack, NH/Merrimack).  Currier was also named to the NSCAA Scholar All-America Team in 2014. 

DeCew currently serves on the NCAA DIII New England Regional Advisory Committee.  He is the owner and director of the D2-D3 Elite ID camp and clinic series.         DeCew joined NEC from Babson College in Wellesley, Mass. where he was an assistant coach in both mens soccer and baseball. In soccer, DeCew helped lead Babson to an NCAA berth in 2001.  He spent the majority of his time as the recruiting coordinator during his four years, but also specialized in training goalkeepers and organizing the defense.         

DeCew attended Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine where he played both varsity soccer and baseball. In soccer DeCew was a NSCAA First Team All-American and a NESCAC First Team member. In baseball DeCew was NESCAC Player of the Year, ECAC All New-England and received the NCAA Batting Crown.
