Coach JC is a Colombian native who played high school, club, college, and professional soccer. He also played futsal at a competitive level in Colombia. He is a Goalkeeper and field player who recognized the value of such positions and his experiences playing in those positions have been an important part of his methodology in coaching soccer. Not only did he plays soccer, but he was also part of the basketball college team and military pentathlon team.
"My experience at the professional and college level by playing in different positions have been a big help to understand team dynamics and a player's mentality on and off the field. Being part of the futsal, basketball and military pentathlon teams, and working with Revitalize Project and other previous jobs, taught me the importance of teamwork, a positive mindset, sacrifice, hard work, discipline, and organization. These experiences and elements have contributed to my success and the goals that I have achieved"
Currently is helping the goalkeepers at NMSU, he is part of the NMYSA coaching staff with ODP and YOP programs, and he has been helping the USSF Regional selection program on the SouthWest Texas Region.
He will be working with the El Paso Locomotive F.C. USL pro team in their inaugural open season.
