McBride was named the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Nicholls State University in July 2016. Since his arrival, his team has received the United Soccer Coaches, Team Academic Award (2016-17 and 2017-2018), received the United Soccer Coaches, Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award for the first time in program history (2016-17), repeated this in 2017-18 and is eligible to receive the award again in 2018-19. The team has also achieved the highest team GPA in the 21 year history of the program (2017-18).     McBride holds a U.S. Soccer National A-Senior Coaching License, and has a Premier Diploma (distinguished pass), Level One, Level Two, Level Three Goalkeeping Diplomas and a Director of Coaching Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. In addition, McBride also earned both a Preliminary and Preparatory Badge from the English Football Association.   Before his arrival at College Road, McBride was an assistant coach at, Walsh University from 1998-2000. Prior to his coaching career with Walsh, he was a scholarship athlete for the Cavaliers from 1995-1998. During his playing career, he earned All-AMC and All-Region honors and was an NAIA All-American nominee. Off the field, McBride was an NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete.   McBride earned his Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and a Masters in Education from Walsh. He earned a second Masters Degree in Education from Notre Dame College in the spring of 2013.  Originally from Birmingham, England, and a lifelong supporter of Birmingham City F.C., McBride currently resides in Houma, Louisiana with his wife Becky and their two daughters, Roisin and Alannah
