North Greenville University former standout Chris Inman has been named the new Assistant Coach for the Mens Soccer program. Inman first joined the Crusaders coaching staff as a Graduate Assistant Coach in 2019 after spending the previous year in Columbus, Ohio working with Columbus Crew SC in Major League Soccer as a player development coach and marketing intern. Inman played four seasons with the Crusaders where he captained the team both his junior and senior year. He is headed into his first season with the NGU Mens Soccer program as an Assistant Coach.
Inman has spent time coaching in four different states at a variety of levels. Along with his work at NGU, Inman is the Head Coach at Greenville Senior High School. He has also coached locally for Eastside High School where he helped lead the team to a AAAA State Championship match in 2019.
During his collegiate days, Inman played four seasons for the Crusaders from 2014-2017, starting in a combined 41 games out of 54 games played. Inman played all over the pitch as a defender, midfielder, and forward helping to lead the team to their first Conference Carolina's Tournament appearance in four years during his senior season in 2017.
Prior to coaching at North Greenville University, Inman played semi-professionally for both the Knoxville Force in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) and for the West Virginia Chaos in United Soccer League 2 (USL2). Inman, who resides in Greenville, earned his undergraduate degree in Sports Management (Business) from NGU in 2018.
