Cornacchiones coaching career includes 14 years as a college baseball coach, including ten as head coach. In his first season as Head Coach at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, the Lions set the school record for wins in a season with 24.  SAGU also notched their first two conference postseason  wins in school history, and made their first ever appearance in the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament semi-final. During his head coaching tenure at Nyack College (NCAA DII) Cornacchione was twice named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year and was voted National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) East Region Coach of the Year in 2012. The Warriors made appearances in the CACC tournament 5 times in his final 7 seasons with Nyack, and also excelled in the classroom, with the 2018 squad earning a 3.18 team GPA.
