Brandsdorfer begins his second season as an assistant coach on Julian Richens staff in 2016.
Brandsdorfer came to Saint Peter's from right down the road at NJIT after serving as an assistant coach for the Highlanders for the 2014 season. He helped NJIT to a 7-8-4 overall mark and 2-3-0 record in the Sun Belt Conference. Brandsdorfer coached the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year (Cristian Marcel) and the conference's Defensive Player of the Year (Marko Drljic).
Prior to coming to Newark, Brandsdorfer was an assistant coach at Drew for the 2013 season, helping the team to an 11-4-5 record. The Rangers finished 2-2-3 in the Landmark Conference and partipated in the first round of the ECAC Tournament.
A three-year member of the Temple men's soccer team, Brandsdorfer registered three goals and two assists for eight points in 48 games. The Owls posted a 26-26-4 overall mark and 15-11-1 in league play in his three seasons. He started his collegiate career at North Florida in 2008.
Brandsdorfer graduated from Temple in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned his Master's Degree from the University of Stirling in the United Kingdom in 2013.
