Codi Crippen enters his first season as an assistant coach with the men's soccer team at Thomas University in 2017.  Prior to joining the Night Hawks, Crippen spent three seasons as the men's soccer goalkeepers coach while assisting with recruiting and scouting reports at Huntingdon (Ala.) College, helping guide the squad to one conference tournament appearance. In three seasons, Crippen's netminders earned four USA South Player of the Week awards. Prior to his time with Huntingdon, Crippen spent two seasons as a graduate assistant with the womens soccer program at Bethel (Tenn.) University from 2012-13. He also served as a men's soccer volunteer assistant at his alma mater, the University of Rio Grande (Ohio), for two seasons (2010-12).   Crippen holds United States Soccer Federation National C and D licenses along with NSCAA Goalkeeping 1 and 2 licenses.   As a player, Crippen spent four seasons with Rio Grande from 2006-10 and helped guide the program to a 69-13-8 overall record, two Region IX titles, two appearances in the NAIA National Championship Round of 16 and a National Runner-Up appearance in 2008.   A native of Zanesville, Ohio, Crippen earned a Bachelor of Science in sport and exercise studies from Rio Grande in 2011, a Bachelor of Science in physical education from Rio Grande in 2012 and a Master of Education from Bethel in 2014.
