Mike Mann finished his second season as the volunteer assistant coach for Florida Volleyball May of 2018 after serving 2 years for the Florida Gators.

Mann, graduated from UF's Human Performance Graduate Program within the Applied Physiology and Kinesiology Department, specializing in sport psychology and athlete visual performance. Mann joined the Gators for the start of their 2017 season after completing his collegiate volleyball career at the University of Mount Olive.
 
A middle blocker for the Trojans mens volleyball team, Mann graduated from Mount Olive with a bachelor of science in recreation and leisure studies: exercise science after finishing his three-year playing career.

As a senior and captain in 2016, Mann posted career-best stats in kills (1.74/s), hitting efficiency (.425) and points (203.5). Mann ranked third for the Trojans in service aces (18) and first in total blocks (64) his senior campaign. He was an All-Conference Carolina's Third Team selection for work in the classroom. In his final season for the Trojans, Mann was a top-15 student-athlete and team MVP and named to the All-Conference Carolina's third team. Mann also made the 2015 and 2016 Conference Carolina's All-Academic Teams, in addition to qualifying for Mount Olive's Presidential Honor Roll in both of those years.

Prior to enrolling at Mount Olive in the summer of 2014, Mann served in the U.S. Army from 2009 through 2014 where he was named the 2012 706th Army Group Soldier of the Year. He was selected to the All-Army and All-Armed Forces Volleyball teams in 2012 and 2013, earning All-Tournament honors at the 2013 U.S. Open Nationals Tournament, Division "A".
