Ian Trantow enters his second year as the head assistant for the University of La Verne men's soccer team as serving as the squad's graduate assistant for the prior two seasons. A former NCAA Division I student-athlete, Trantow brings a wealth of playing experience to the Leopards. He started his collegiate career at Cal State Bakersfield in 2009 before transferring to Cal Poly Pomona for his final three years of eligibility. He served as a captain for Cal Poly Pomona in 2014-15 when the Broncos broke over 20 team records and finished the season ranked fourth in the nation. Upon graduation, Trantow played for the Southern California Seahorses and the Pali Blues of the Premier Development League. Trantow is currently also serving as a coach at Chino Hills High School and got his coaching start with Ayala High School, where he served from 2010-14. In 2015, he was on the staff of the Sana Monica College women's soccer team.
