Blake Ellis is in his 1st season as the goalkeeper coach after spending three seasons at Chowan University, two seasons as a graduate assistant, and one year as a volunteer assistant
Ellis assists in the training of goalkeepers and assists with the internal operations of the program.
While at Chowan in 2017, Ellis helped lead the team to an 11-5-2 overall record and a 5-3-2 record in the programs first ever conference affiliation in the Conference Carolinas. The team finished with a 9-0-1 overall record at home and notched six Conference Carolinas All-Conference selections.
In 2016 season, Ellis assisted the squad to a 9-6-2 record after posting an 11-7-5 record in 2015. In the 2015 campaign, the Hawks won the NCCAA South Region Championship and went unbeaten at the NCCAA National Championships in Kissimmee, Fla. grabbing two draws.
The Clinton, N.C. native graduated from East Carolina University in 2016 with a bachelors degree in Sports Studies, and has received a Masters in Elementary Education at Chowan University.
While attending ECU, Ellis was a part of the coaching staff for the Womens Soccer program as a team manager.
Currently, Ellis coaches club with Discoveries Soccer Club, and is also a staff coach for the NC Olympic Development Program.
