Johnathan Brabson was hired as an assistant coach for the Winthrop womens soccer team in June of 2006.  Brabson was promoted to Associate Head Coach in the spring of 2013. Prior to joining the Lady Eagles program, Brabson spent six seasons as the head coach and two years as an assistant coach of the Queens University of Charlotte womens soccer team.  In his two seasons as head coach, Queens went a combined 15-19-2 and 10-14-1 in the CVAC Conference. He graduated from Maryville (TN) College in 1998 with a bachelors degree in business and organizational management. He was a four-year starter and team captain while at Division III Maryville, where he was an All-South Region selection in 1997. Before he began his coaching career, Brabson used his skills on the field as he played semi-professional soccer for two years with the Chattanooga Express and Clarksville Gunners. His duties at Winthrop include assisting in daily activities, recruiting, travel arrangements and student-athlete academic affairs. Brabson and his wife, Tara, have two children, Jake, 8; and Macie, 3. The Brabsons reside in Charlotte, NC.
