Jeff Robinson '11 returns to the men's basketball team as the full-time assistant coach in 2018-19. Robinson began his coaching career at Widener, where he served as the recruiting coordinator and assisted with all aspects of the program from 2015 to 2017. During his time in Chester, PA, the team was seven games over .500 and, in 2016-17, the runner up in the MAC Commonwealth Conference. He then came back to Worcester and served as an assistant at Assumption in 2017-18. No stranger to postseason accolades, Robinson helped cultivate a pair of All-MAC selections before helping guide Matthew Kelly to Northeast-10 and Worcester Area College Basketball Association (WACBA) recognition. As a student-athlete, Robinson was the 2010-11 NEWMAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Year, as well as a repeat All-NEWMAC selection, and back-to-back D3hoops.com All-Region honoree. He also garnered CoSIDA Academic All-District honors and a pair of department awards. In his three seasons, the Engineers posted a 64-19 record with a pair of NEWMAC regular season titles and NCAA second round appearances. In 2009, the Crimson and Gray defeated Husson in the first round while the guard provided the heroics with a late three to lift WPI past Bridgewater State in 2011.
