Abby Shiffler enters her second season as the head coach of the women’s soccer program at Ramapo College. Last season she led the Roadrunners to a 7-9 overall record with two wins in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

Shiffler began her coaching career with Fairleigh Dickinson University as an assistant coach for the 2007 season, before joining the staff at Caldwell College in 2008. Shiffler spent 2009 training the goalkeepers at the University of Pennsylvania, and most recently served as an assistant coach for the University of Massachusetts.

Shiffler was a four-year starter in goal for Monmouth University from 2001-2004. She recorded 280 career saves to rank third on the program’s all-time list. Shiffler earned All-Northeast Conference Second Team honors as a freshman while receiving the team’s Rookie of the Year award. In 2002, Shiffler helped the Hawks advance to the final of the NEC Tournament, and as a junior, she ranked second in the conference in both goals-against average and save percentage.
