Amanda Burge is in her second year as the Forester women’s soccer coach. Burge is the program’s seventh head coach since its inception in 1997.

A 2004 alum of HU, Burge brings a wealth of experience to the position having most recently helped guide Canterbury High School to back-to-back IHSAA state championships. The Fort Wayne native has nearly ten years of coaching experience including stints with Snider High School and WaSoNaMa Travel Club.

Burge is a certified CrossFit coach and along with her husband owns CrossFit Praus in Fort Wayne. Additionally, she serves as the technical director of performance for United Futbol Club to provide CrossFit-style strength and conditioning for over 300 athletes per week.

Burge will also look to put her playing experience to good use. After a successful career at Homestead High School, Burge played two years at Bethel College as their starting sweeper where she helped guide the Pilots to the finals of the 2000 NCCAA National Tournament and a 2001 conference championship.

Burge graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Business Administration from Huntington. She went on to earn her MBA from IU in 2008. She, her husband and two children reside in Fort Wayne, Ind.
