One of the top players in the history of the Red Storm Women’s Soccer program, Amy Marron continued her meteoric rise through the coaching ranks on May 8th, 2016 officially being announced as the new head coach of the women’s soccer team at SUNY Purchase.

Marron completed her second season on the sideline at St. John’s in 2015, playing an integral role in a group that took home BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year honors. As the team’s graduate assistant, Marron helped the Red Storm claim the first BIG EAST Regular Season title in program history, as the Johnnies notched a school-record 15 wins and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three years.

The Valhalla, N.Y., native first joined Stone’s staff during the 2014 season, serving as a volunteer assistant coach for a Red Storm squad that finished 11-7-2 and advanced to the BIG EAST Tournament Semifinals. Marron returned to Queens after playing professionally in Iceland.
