Drew Hannon is in his first season as an assistant coach at Flagler College. His primary responsibilities will be hitting, base running and working with the infielders.
Hannon spent the past two years as an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of North Florida. He helped coach the Ospreys to a 40-19 overall record in 2013 which included an 18-9 mark in the tough Atlantic Sun Conference.
He has also served as an assistant coach for the La Crosse (Wisc.) Loggers of the Northwood Collegiate Summer League from 2011-12 and was the junior varsity coach at Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. in 2010.
Hannon had an excellent career playing at UNF from 2007-11. He finished with a career batting average of .327 and collected 177 hits which included 34 doubles and six home runs. Hannon was a true utility player as he played virtually every position at least once except catching and pitching. Prior to the 2010 season, Hannon was on the initial Brooks Wallace Shortstop Watch List.
He ranks in the UNF top 10 in several career categories: games started (133), at bats (541), runs scored (102), hits, doubles, runs batted in (96) and total bases (229).
