The California women’s soccer coaching staff has expanded again with the hiring of assistant coach Austin Risenhoover for the 2017-2018 campaign.Risenhoover spent the last three seasons at UCSB. He was the Gauchos’ associate head coach this past season, after serving as a UCSB assistant coach the prior two years
An Oklahoma native and graduate of Central Oklahoma, Risenhoover is joining a Golden Bear squad that in 2016 competed in the NCAA tournament, placed five players on All-Pac-12 teams and had nine players claim Pac-12 All-Academic honors.
Before coaching at UCSB, Rivenhoover was an assistant coach at Cal State Monterey Bay for two years and prior to that was an assistant coach at Oklahoma. He spent three seasons as an assistant at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma to start his coaching career.
