Ben Parman enters his first season with the Grand Canyon women’s soccer team, having been hired in January 2018. Parman joins the Lopes after a three-year stint with fellow WAC member New Mexico State women’s soccer.
Prior to his position on staff at NMSU, Parman was the head coach of Lyon College from 2011-14 within the NAIA. He left the program as the winningest coach in program history, as he tallied a 34-34-3 overall record.
He also spent time working with the men’s and women’s teams at Division II Hendrix College while also assisting with Olympic Development Program players as a head coach and official goalkeeping coach.
Parman is a 2008 graduate of Luther College and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management, emphasizing in sports management. He was a four-year starting goalkeeper at the Division III school.
A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he is an active member of the NSCAA and holds both an NSCAA National Diploma and NSCAA Goalkeeping license.
