Bertin Loyola, a coach with several years of college and high school experience who as a player was mentored by Felipe Restrepo at UC Davis over a decade ago, joins the Chico State staff for the 2015 season.

Loyola comes to Chico following a three-year stint as Head Coach at Pacific Union College, a NAIA school in Angwin, Calif. He also served as Head Coach for the Vacaville Christian women’s soccer team from 2011-13, leading the Falcons to an overall 28-13-5 record.

Loyola received a prestigious honor this summer from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as one of only a handful of coaches selected nationwide to participate in the organization’s “30 under 30” program to foster the career development of young soccer coaches.
