Nolen begins his first year as assistant coach for the Crusaders, after serving previously as a volunteer assistant at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) from 2010-14. During his time at MTSU, Nolen worked with the catchers, hitters, first base coach, assisted with defensive game positioning, and scouting reports. He also was involved in reviewing videos with players to help aid and guide their development.
