Brendan McIntyre joins the Lehigh men’s soccer program as Director of Soccer Operations for the start of the 2017 season. With the Lehigh staff, McIntyre will be completely immersed into the day-to-day coaching duties. He will also take the lead on video analysis, growing the ID Clinics and camps, while learning the wide range of responsibilities associated with a Division I soccer program.
A Bethlehem native, McIntyre played his college soccer at Muhlenberg College where he earned four varsity letters while competing at defensive central midfielder for the Mules. The 2010 Muhlenberg men’s soccer team recorded the longest unbeaten streak in program history (15 games) and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship after earning an at-large bid.
While at Muhlenberg, McIntyre also competed at the club level for Lehigh Valley United Sonic and helped the squad capture the 2012 NPSL National Championship. Prior to competing at the collegiate level, the Bethlehem native completed his prep career at Freedom High School.
McIntyre obtained his USSF “D” License and gained coaching experience with Lehigh Valley United where he has served as a head coach at the youth level since 2014. He was responsible for creating and executing annual training schedule and competition plans, in addition to providing individualized training opportunities for players looking to maximize player development.
A 2014 graduate of of Muhlenberg, McIntyre earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administtration.
