Brendan Murphy was hired in February 2013 and enters his third season as the D’Youville men’s soccer head coach. Coach Murphy becomes the fifth men’s soccer coach at D’Youville since the program’s inception in 1999. The Williamsville, New York native brings a high profile resume that includes playing and coaching at the highest levels of the sport.
Murphy was named to the Head Coach of FC Buffalo in November of 2012. During his first season Murphy coached the team to a 8-4 record which allowed them to qualify for the post season. FC Buffalo is the highest level of men’s soccer in Buffalo. The amateur franchise competes in the National Premier Soccer League and is composed mostly of college players competing nationally. He will continue his work with FC Buffalo in addition to his duties at D’Youville College.
