Brian Jones completed his fifth season under head coach Kevin Kalish as the team’s goalkeeper coach.
Jones’ work with goalkeeper Jon Berner yielded great results as Berner was selected as the 2012 MVC Goalkeeper of the Year, and received First Team All-MVC honors. Previously, Jones guided SIUE goalkeeper Nick Frasca, who holds the school record for career shutouts with 21.
Originally from St. Louis, Jones played professional soccer in Belgium and Portugal after high school for Sint-Niklaaz (Belgium), Olivais-Muscovide (Portugal), and the Kansas City Wizards of MLS.
