C.J. Bachmann begins his sixth year as a part-time assistant coach in 2016. A native of Crystal Lake, Ill., Bachmann played for the 2004 Red Men after transferring from Loyola University (Ill.). Bachmann earned All-Horizon League and that conference’s “rookie of the year” honors and for the 2002 Ramblers and was named National Soccer Coaches Association of America third-team All-Wisconsin in 2004. He graduated from Carthage in 2005 with a double major in business administration and marketing. Bachmann is currently a Chicago-area sales manager for Cbeyond, and he also coaches for the United FC Soccer Club in Barrington, Ill.
