Xavier men’s soccer has added to its staff, announcing the hire of Cam Olson as Director of Soccer Operations for the upcoming 2016 season. Olson joins the Musketeers from Franklin College (Ind.), where he was an assistant coach in 2015.

“Cam is a guy we’ve monitored and had our eye for the past several months,” said head coach Andy Fleming. “In addition to being eager, organized and attentive, Cam has a unique blend of experiences in game day operations, coaching and marketing that will serve him well. I always consider the Director of Operations to be a jack-of-all-trades position and I think he is a wonderful fit for our staff. By the time August rolls around he will be well settled in and hit his stride and really help us navigate the fall season.”

A 2015 Allegheny College graduate, Olson was a four-year starter and two-time captain for the Gators. He finished his college career with 11 goals and ranks among the top-10 all-time at Allegheny in assists.

He received his bachelor degree in psychology with a minor in communication arts from Allegheny in 2015 and is currently pursuing a master’s in Coaching Education and Athlete Development at Xavier.
