Chris Bonawandt is entering his third season as the men’s assistant soccer coach at Queens College in 2013. Simultaneously, he is working as a coach at the Red Bulls Soccer Academy. With the Knights, Bonawandt assists head coach Carl Christian in practices, game prep, scouting and recruiting. His biggest thrill as a coach is seeing his players improve.
The Southampton, New York native earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management after transferring there from Oneonta State. He will complete his Master’s degree in Sports Management from St. John’s University in 2014. As a coach, Bonawandt holds an advanced license from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
