Chris Fletcher begins his first season as an assistant coach on the William Woods University baseball staff. He is no stranger to the program, having just finished a stellar two-year career as an infielder for the Owls. He will assist with infielders and hitters and serve as the bullpen coach on game day.
Fletcher was a key contributor to the most successful two-year era to date in school history. During his time on the roster, the Owls set a new school record for wins in a season (36), won the 2011 AMC Postseason Tournament and picked up two wins in the opening round of the NAIA National Tournament. As a senior, he split time starting at third base and second base, and led the Owls with a .390 batting average with runners in scoring position.
