Coach Karwoski enters his 11th season overall with the Pittsburgh Panther, with this season being his 5th consecutive one. Coach Karwoski was with the Panthers from 1993 – 1997, but following that stint, spent 11 years with the Western Michigan University Broncos as their head coach. Under Coach Karwoski’s guidance, the WMU Broncos saw 22 All-Mid-American-Conference selections, 9 MAC All-Tournament honorees, the 2000 MAC newcomer of the year, and 14 Academic All-MAC selections. In 2003 Coach Karwoski was named the MAC Coach of the Year, setting a school record 12 wins, their first and only MAC Tournament crown, and an inaugural berth in the NCAA College Cup. Following this WMU career, Coach Karwoski rejoined current Pitt Head Coach Joe Luxbacher.
