Through seven seasons, University of Mary Washington head women’s soccer coach Corey Hewson has laid a strong foundation in bringing the Eagles back to national respectability.Hewson, who served as an assistant coach for the Eagles for seven years before leading the team to an 8-6-5 record in 2008, pushed the Eagles to 12 wins in 2010, and won the Capital Athletic Conference for the first time in five years for the program. For his efforts, he was named as the CAC’s Co-Coach of the Year. The 2010 campaign saw the Eagles ranked regionally en route to eight victories.
