Cory Harbinson joined the Valdosta State women’s soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach in December 2015.

Harbinson joined VSU’s program following a stint as Andrew College’s first full-time head women’s soccer coach from August of 2013 through December of 2015. In 2014, seven freshman helped lead Andrew to its first Region 17 tournament semifinal and first playoff win in ten years behind a 9-7-4 record. For his efforts, Harbinson was a nominee for Region coach of the year.

Without question, Andrew College’s program was practically placed on the map under the leadership of Harbinson. The Lady Tigers featured eight NJCAA All-Region honorees, including five Second Team All-Region student-athletes as well as two Region 17 All-Tournament selections.

Collegiately, Harbinson was a member of the men’s soccer team at Nova Southeastern University (2010-12). He was named a scholar-athlete and Sunshine State Conference honoree during his junior and senior years. Harbinson graduated with a bachelor’s in business administration and a focus in sport and recreation management.

Harbinson was also working with the Storm FC of the National Premier Soccer League, where he competed as a defender during the 2014-15 seasons and assisted the coaching staff. Harbinson holds a NSCAA National Diploma.
