The 2012 season was a banner one for Coach Calderon and the Chapman women’s soccer program. Under Calderon’s tutelage, the Panthers went 16-6-1 and won Chapman’s first-ever SCIAC Tournament championship with a win over Pomona-Pitzer in the finals, earning its second NCAA playoff berth in three years.

In 11 years atop the Chapman women’s program, she’s guided the Panthers to seven seasons above. 500, including being ranked in the Division III top-25 in 2007. The former defender has built her teams around, what else, defense, including 47 shutouts and a goals against average below 1.50 in Calderon’s first eight seasons as a collegiate head coach.
