Dan Heger is now in his 11th season as the Cowboys’ head coach and he is the school’s all-time wins leader with a record of 115-56-23. He has led the Cowboys to three American Southwest Conference titles and in 2009 he led the Cowboys to the Sweet 16, becoming the first ASC team to reach that level of the NCAA Tournament. Heger also played for the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys. His senior season he was selected captain and led the team to a No. 3 ranking in the Midwest Region as a Division I team.
