Dan Kane is entering his fifth season at Wells College as the Head Men’s Soccer and Mixed Golf Coach. In January of 2013, Kane was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and will be responsible for all athletic facilities outside of the pool and fitness center. In addition, he will serve as a department liaison to the Wells College Buildings and Grounds Department.
During Kane’s four years as Head Coach of the men’s soccer team, the program has increased its winning percentage each season. During the 2012 calendar, Kane’s program set a program record with eight victories, including five North Eastern Athletic Conference wins. Additionally, his team ranked 10th across all NCAA Division III programs in save percentage (.858) while also leading the NEAC in goals-against average (1.05) and fewest goals allowed (17).
In 2011, Kane’s team finished with a 7-10 record and posted the longest winning streak in program history, ending with a 6-2 victory over Keystone College on Sept. 13, 2011. Cumulatively, Kane’s players have been awarded placement on nine All-Conference squads since 2009 including one regional All-American award recipient (Delroy Roberts).
