DC United Academy goalkeeper coach David Meiklejohn joins the University of Maryland for the 2016 season. His primary role with the Terps will be to train the teams goalkeepers.
Meiklejohn also works with the goalkeepers at DC United partner club, Loudon Soccer Club. As well as assisting with US Soccer Training Centers in the DC Metro area.
Prior to his role with DC United, Meiklejohn was an Assistant Coach with the University of Rhode Island Men’s Soccer program for the 2013 season. During his time with URI he was the Director of Goalkeeping for Rams FC and with Rhode Island ODP.
He previously served as an Assistant for Georgia State University from 2011-2013. During the 2011 season Georgia State University earned a trip to the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history. During his time with Georgia State Meiklejohn worked as the Goalkeeper Coach for Concorde Fire’s USSDA and ECNL programs in Atlanta.
A standout youth goalkeeper in Northern Virginia, Meiklejohn was aTopDrawerSoccer.com top 150 recruit and went on to play collegiately at James Madison University.  He now resides in Fairfax, Virginia.
