Hired in January 2009 as the new head men’s soccer coach at Salem State, Head coach Don Goodwin has taken the Vikings to four MASCAC championship games, winning the title twice and gained two trips to the NCAA Tournament. During this period, the 2012 MASCAC Coach of The Year has produced four All-New England, and eleven All-MASCAC players.
For the five seasons prior to taking over the SSU program, Don served as assistant coach at Babson College. While coaching at Babson, the Beavers compiled a record of 68-26-12, which included winning the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championship twice and being selected twice to the NCAA and once to the ECAC postseason tournaments. While there, Don was instrumental in the development of several NEWMAC and All-New England players, as well as a pair of All-American performers.
