Dylan Harrison, a former Tiger men’s standout, has completed his first season as the head coach of the Trinity women’s soccer team.

The Tigers  finished the 2016 campaign with a 23-1-0 record. Trinity was undefeated in the regular season, and won the first three rounds of the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Tigers lost a tightly played Quarterfinals matchup to eventual NCAA champion Washington University-St. Louis (MO) in a home game. Trinity was ranked #2 in the final regular-season National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Poll, and sixth in the final ranking of the year.

His coaching career, since graduation from Trinity, has been impressive. Coach Harrison returns to campus from Nicholls State University, in Thibodaux, Louisiana, where he served as the women’s head coach since 2009. Under Coach Harrison’s leadership, the NCAA Division I program made great strides. The Colonels set a school record for victories in a season, in 2013. The team was named the sixth-most improved Division I squad in the nation that year. Nicholls State advanced to the Southland Conference Semifinals in 2014. Coach Harrison’s teams also produced two NSCAA All-Region Players, and a Southland Conference Player of the Year. Coach Harrison holds the distinction of most career wins at Nicholls State.
